Comment Export for Sheets™ is free, and provided as it is. These terms are short because the add-on is small and I am one person, not a company.
What you are agreeing to
By installing or using the add-on, you accept these terms. If you do not, do not install it, or remove it. Removing it is the complete remedy and it costs you nothing.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no fee, no subscription, no trial, and no paid tier. If that ever changes, existing behaviour will not be taken away without notice on this page.
What it does to your spreadsheet
The add-on writes a tab named Comment Export into the spreadsheet you run it in. If a tab with that name already exists, its contents are cleared and replaced. Do not keep anything you care about in a tab with that name. It changes nothing else in your file, and it never modifies, resolves or deletes your actual comments.
Limits worth knowing
- Google caps the export it relies on at 10MB, so a very large workbook may not run. The add-on tells you when that happens rather than failing silently.
- It reads comments. Notes are a separate Sheets feature and do not appear.
- Access is granted one file at a time. That is deliberate, and it is why the add-on never needs permission to your whole Drive.
No warranty
The add-on is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. I do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its output will be complete or correct for your purposes. Check anything you intend to rely on.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising out of your use of or inability to use the add-on, even if advised of the possibility. Since the add-on is free, my total liability to you for any claim relating to it is zero.
Acceptable use
Use it on spreadsheets you are entitled to read. Do not use it to circumvent access controls, and do not attempt to interfere with it or with Google's services through it.
Availability
I may change, suspend or discontinue the add-on at any time. It depends on Google APIs that I do not control, and if Google changes or withdraws them the add-on may stop working. Nothing here obliges me to maintain it, though I will say so on this page if I stop.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the revised version appears here with a new date. Continuing to use the add-on after that means you accept the revision.
